Dapper Snappers – The SMART Alternative to Toddler Belts
Dapper Snappers are a great little mom-invented product that helps you turn pants or skirts with gaping waistlines into nicely fitting clothes that look better, fit better, and are easier for your little one to get on and off. Unlike a traditional belt, the Dapper Snapper does not add an extra barrier to getting pants on and off so there are fewer potty accidents during training. Additionally, unlike belts, there’s no additional gaping caused by the belt itself.

My youngest was tall and skinny when he was a toddler and we were forever trying to find pants long enough that weren’t huge at the waist. Luckily, it was the 80’s so Hammer Pants were all the rage – they had elastic at both the waist and ankles. The problem was they weren’t dressy pants, so on special occasions we were forced to put an elastic belt on our little one, which rode up on the waist and irritated his little tummy. Dapper Snappers would have been a perfect solution!
What are Dapper Snappers? They’re a short piece of suspender elastic with snaps that fit in the back three belt loops of the child’s pants. The middle of the Dapper Snapper is centered on the center back look and then the other two snap over the outer 2 loops (one left, the other right) to cinch the pants. Think of it as half of a toddler belt – all of the belting action is is the back leaving the front free.
Dapper Snappers come in a huge array of colors and fabrics so you’ll be sure to have one that matches if you choose to match. You could also go with a khaki or black that would be fine with almost everything. Original Dapper Snappers are $8.95 each. Buy a multi-pack of three and the price drops to $7.98 each ($23.95), or save even bigger by purchasing the 6-pack at $39.95 ($6.65 each!). A multi-pack would make a fabulous baby shower gift! You can even make your own – choose your colors and fabric for the same $8.95.
Features:
- One size fits all from ages 9 mo-5 years and adjustable to 4 sizes.
- Replaces the need for adjustable (elastic) waistbands.
- Does not impede potty training and doesn’t need to be removed for diaper changes.
- All components (snaps, thread, elastic, everything), including packaging are made in the USA.
- Invented by a mom!
- CPSIA compliant
