Teething Bling – Baby-Safe Jewelry for Moms by Smart Mom

Submitted by Connie on June 20, 2009 – 9:23 pm70 Comments

SMARTMOMLOGOIt’s been 2o years since my boys were babies, but a lot of the issues that plagued me back then are still problems for moms today. Babies get bored and their favorite thing to play with is something mom is wearing or holding and never appropriate for a little one.  How many times have you seen a baby with a cellphone, or chewing on mom’s watch or necklace.  So often, that a pair of moms invented Teething Bling – child safe jewelry for moms!

I think it’s such a fabulous idea. Now if you’re on your first child you’re probably horrified at the thought of allowing your precious child to chew on something that’s not been santized and proven sterile.  For the rest of us real world moms, a teething necklace sounds like a godsend!  Hey, what mom hasn’t used the 10-second rule with the subsequent kids!

Beautiful Jewelry - Safe Teethers

Beautiful Jewelry - Safe Teethers

Teething Blings, by Smart Mom Jewelry, are made from the same material as many teething toys and they’re phthalate-free, lead-free, BPA, PVC and non-toxic and have a break-away clasp to avoid accidental choking. They’re also dishwasher safe and federally approved, plus they’re adorable!

Only you will know that it’s a child’s toy as they’re stylish, come in several shapes, but are large enough to be a fabulous chew toy for your little one. The pendants come in donut and heart shapes, and there are bangle bracelets as well!   They do offer key chains, but I personally draw the line there although I’ve seen many parents offer their key to noisy infants.  I think about all the germs hands spread and I know what’s in the bottom of my purse, so for me the necklace & bangles would be a better option.

Heck, if you’re really worried about germs, a sanitizer carried in your purse could be applied before you offer the necklace/bangles to your little one. Just be sure the one you chose is safe for ingestion if traces are left behind.

These would make perfect baby shower gifts – something for mom as well as baby!

SMARTMOM4A portion of every sale this month will go to the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation whose purpose it to effectively heighten awareness of the importance of expanded newborn screenings and its availability and necessity for every newborn – http://www.baileybaioangelfoundation.com.

ENTER TO WIN! WINNER CHOSEN
