CardStore.com – Personalized Stationery and Cards to Keep in Touch

Submitted by Connie on July 2, 2009 – 9:13 pm8 Comments

cardstorelogoI haven’t sent cards in a few years, which is a shame, because I love the look and feel of great stationery. I suppose it’s because my kids are grown and there are no more notes to teachers, permission slips, etc., but I kind of feel like it’s time to start hand writing notes again.

I know how much I cherish the letters my Aunt saved that my mother wrote to her in the late 60’s when I was a small child – each held tales about about me as a six year old and my daily life. With the “information age” so much has been made electronic and the tactile appreciation of holding a card written with love,  is something I’d hate to see lost forever.

I had the opportunity to try out an online card store called CardStore.com. I was amazed at the selection – premade cards, photo cards, and fabulous personal, photo, and mommy business cards.  They have a wide variety of designers so there are styles for every taste.  I received several samples of each so I could see and feel the quality myself.  All are printed on quality paper in a matte finish and the colors are stunning.  The printing is as fine as the business printing service I use for my business cards and envelopes – you would not be able to recreate the quality at home.

I was especially impressed with the personalization options available. My niece just graduated and is a newly minted teacher.  I selected five single cards and personalized the front of each with “Miss Connors”.  I tied the bundle with ribbon and will present them to her on her first day in the classroom with a gift certificate to purchase additional cards of her choice.  It’s the perfect gift for a teacher, especially a brand new one!

I loved that I was able to pick out five very different cards. One very feminine, one with brightly colored dots, one more baroque, another sweet and sassy, and one with a Basset Hound to honor her new adorable pup, Lily.  There are perfect cards for every occasion or just because.

Here’s what they have available:

You can follow CardStore on Twitter!  They tweet specials and upcoming events.

I think it’s time to send my son who lives away at college a card.

Enjoy!

PLEASE NOTE:  This review was brought to you by Momfluence.com – I did receive gratis samples with which to form my opinion.  This did not affect the validity of my review.
