DaysAgo – Digital Day Counter Answer the Question of How Many Days Ago…
Ever wish you knew how many days ago you fed the fish? Watered the plants? Changed the air filter? Sure, you can write the information on the calendar or on the item itself, but then instead of knowing at a glance, you have to compute the time that’s passed. Now there’s an easy way to have that information at your finger tips with DaysAgo.
A simple concept, this battery-powered counter starts counting the days and hours from the time you turn it on. Simply place it on the item to be counted and walk away – that’s it! The battery lasts approximately 18 months, but the counter only counts to 99 and then starts over, so it’s best for items under 99 days. There are several different counter styles – magnetic, suction cups, and bands. But each can be easily modified for your use. I received several magnetic ones but I used tape, doubled over, on the back and have it stuck to the top of a plastic jar in the refrigerator. The other is placed in a bowl of hardboiled eggs.
I love how easy they are to use and the only thing I’d improve on is adding a count back from feature so if you know your item should only be eaten within 5 days, it would count down from five and finish by displaying a skull and crossbones – I’m dreaming here. That’s the problem with foods, it’s that the expiration date is the “best by” date, not the amount of time it has once you’ve opened it. Curious how long you should be enjoying that sour cream after opening? Check out the United States Food and Drug Administration list DaysAgo made available here.
Retail price for the counters is $8 for a two pack of any style. They’re also offering a special edition pink version to support Breast Cancer research. Attach it to your bathroom mirror to remind you how long it’s been since your last self-examination. Ten percent of your purchase price will go to Breast Cancer Network of Strength.
Enjoy!
Please note: I received two complimentary magnetic DaysAgo – this did not affect my opinion or review.
