I posted the following post about two weeks ago, along with photos I took at the event. Within the hour my photos were stolen and reposted all over the net.  At the time, I was auctioning the shirt off for charity so I was even more upset at the theft.  The photos were how I was trying to direct traffic to the auction.  Stealing the photos meant there was no reason to come here and hopefully go on and bid.

Several people accused me of trying to do something fishy and that threw me over the edge and I pulled the post and the auction. I was made to defend myself and the law and try to explain why taking a photo from a website is illegal, they just wouldn’t look at the truth.  By the way, all photos here are my original photos and the shirt actually up for auction. I’m sure you’ve seen them elsewhere.

Anyway, I wanted to put it all behind me and forget about it, but my niece, who’s finishing her student teaching at an elementary school here in Washington, needs 1000 books before she will be considered for a position in the school she’s teaching in. Now student teachers don’t get paid, and they pay tuition to their college, so even though Katie also works at a coffee shop, there’s no way she can afford 1000 books. Even used at $1 ea, that’s a lot of money.
So, I’ve been scouring eBay and picking up used book lots for her (I’ve purchased over 100  books so far!) and then I remembered this t-shirt. I’ll never wear it, it’s not my size, so instead of just throwing it in a closet, it’s up for sale on eBay.  The proceeds will go to purchase more books for Katie.  The listing doesn’t say this, it’s not allowed by eBay because she’s not a charity, but I’m thrilled to be helping her out and someone will get a great tee.

I had the pleasure of attending the Real Player Super Pass BB11 Live Chat Event in Seattle on 9/24/09. Held at the Columbia City Theater, an old and tiny, but very hip theater in Southeast Seattle.   Hosted by Chelsia, a former Big Brother player, it was an hour of questions and then an hour of games with Jeff and Jordan heading up teams.

I could have done without the game show, I would have preferred they spent more time chatting with the BB duo. The live crowd was small, but VERY vocal, and a handful were seated near the front and brought up on stage to participate during the event.

We happened to run into Jeff & Jordan on the street in front of the theater before the event and they couldn’t have been kinder. Posing for unlimited photos even though they were on their way to get some food before the event.  Even more adorable in person, I wanted to be sure they knew how much I enjoyed spending the summer with them.  They were the only houseguests that didn’t make fun of live feed watchers, rather, they couldn’t understand why anyone would want to watch them!  It’s this humility that I love and what makes them special.
